Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Casie mobile application (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.

Description of Service

Casie is an English language learning application that provides:

• Podcasts — AI-generated audio content for English listening practice, with chapter-based navigation and background playback
• Books — AI-generated reading materials with synchronized audio, reading progress tracking, and bookmarks
• Speaking Practice — Real-time voice conversations with an AI tutor for pronunciation and fluency practice
• Translation — In-app translation assistance for vocabulary and sentence comprehension
• Reviews — Community content ratings and reviews for podcasts and books

User Accounts

The App automatically creates an anonymous account linked to your device. No registration, email, or personal information is required. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device. If you delete the App and reinstall it, your account may be recovered through the same device identifier stored in your device's Keychain.

Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier

The App offers limited free access to content and features. Speaking practice is not available on the free tier.

Premium Plan ($4.99/month)

Access the full audiobook library with listening features, plus AI-powered speaking practice and instant translation tools to enhance your learning experience.

Billing

All subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store:

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings
• Any unused portion of a free trial period is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
• Prices may vary by region and are displayed in your local currency in the App Store

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests must be made through Apple's standard refund process.

AI-Generated Content

All content in the App — including podcasts, books, speaking responses, and translations — is generated using artificial intelligence. While we strive for accuracy and quality:

• AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or unnatural phrasing
• Content is provided for educational purposes only and should not be considered professional language instruction
• AI-generated voices are synthetic and do not represent real people
• We do not guarantee that all content is free from errors
• The App should complement, not replace, formal language education

Speaking Practice Feature

The speaking practice feature uses real-time voice processing:

• Your voice is streamed to our server and processed by a third-party speech recognition service (Deepgram)
• AI responses are generated and delivered as synthesized speech
• Sessions are limited by your subscription plan and may be disconnected after 10 minutes of continuous use or 90 seconds of inactivity
• Audio is not recorded or stored — see our Privacy Policy for details

Content Reviews

You may submit ratings and reviews for podcasts and books. By submitting a review, you agree that:

• Reviews must be between 3 and 1,000 characters
• Reviews must be respectful and relevant to the content
• We reserve the right to hide or remove reviews that violate these guidelines
• Reviews may be visible to all users of the App
• Reviews flagged by multiple users may be automatically hidden

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
• Reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works based on the App's content
• Use automated systems or scripts to access the App's services
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
• Misuse the speaking practice feature for purposes other than language learning
• Attempt to bypass subscription or usage limits
• Submit false, abusive, or spam reviews

Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from within the App (Settings → Privacy & Data). Upon deletion, all data associated with your account is permanently removed from our servers, including usage records, reviews, and subscription data. Active subscriptions must be cancelled separately through the Apple App Store.

Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, audio, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by Casie and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted or error-free
• AI-generated content will be accurate or suitable for any particular purpose
• The speaking practice feature will always be available or function perfectly
• Content will be available in all regions at all times

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Casie shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App will immediately cease. Reasons for termination may include violation of these Terms or abuse of the service.

Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice in the App. The "Effective Date" at the top of this page will be updated accordingly. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
